Srinagar, June 13: Militants on Wednesday evening lobbed a UBGL grenade towards police station Lassipora in Pulwama district, police said.
SP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudhary said the grenade was hurled on police station Lasipora Pulwama at 7:15 PM on Wednesday. The grenade exploded with a bang and policemen on duty retaliated the attack by firing towards the militants. The militants however managed to escape from the spot.
Following the attack army's Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF troopers rushed to the spot and launched searches to nab the assailants.
So far no one was arrested and no one was injured in the incident. |
