Residents hold protest over defunct transformer from 7 days | | | Early Times Report BHADERWAH, July 30: The residents of Dheraja Bhaderwah locality of Bhadarwah town held protest over the defunct transformer and visited to SDM office and PDD office at Bhaderwah . The protesters said that they are without electricity supply from last seven days, which has affected the normal life, especially studies of the students in the area. These protesters when visited SDM office they found SDM is out office to visit official meet at Doda, then they visited to the PDD office Bhaderwah. The residents during protest demanded that the Power Development Department (PDD) should immediately restore electricity to Dheraja locality that is living in darkness since last one week. Protestors also alleged that officials of PDD are deliberately taking them to task for no fault of theirs by snapping the power supply. Police and civil administration led by Executive Magistrate tried to pacify the protesters and requested them to suspend the protest but protestors including women and children refused to buzz from the spot and as the last reports came in, protest was still going on. |
