UDHAMPUR, July 30: On the directions of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ravinder Kumar, today an anti encroachment drive was started Under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal on National Highway from Manthal to Mand of district Udhampur.
At outset, the team removed 50 to 60 illegal structures which were constructed on National Highway. The ADC said that anti-encroachment drive will continue till all the encroachments on National Highway and state land are removed.
In this regard, the general public was instructed to remove the illegal encroachments and in case of failure, strict action will be taken against defaulters.
Among others, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, besides officers and officials of the Police and Revenue department were present in the drive.
People appreciated this movement and requested DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar to remove all the encroachment from the other places of Udhampur like old National Highway Chopra Shop to TCP Domail, Gole Market, and other visible places. |
