Jammu, July 30: Jammu Police has initiated a drive against use and sale of Chinese thread (Ghattu Dor) as last year some life taking incidents took place in different parts of the country.
Police spokesman said that today SI Baruneshwar Singh-In-charge Police Post Narwal along with his team conducted raid in Yard No. 7, Narwal Bala and apprehended one person namely Suresh Sanson of Afghana Mohalla, Pacca Danga Jammu and recovered 140 roles of Gattu Dor from his possession.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 203/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation of the case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of Inspector Parvez Sajjad-SHO Police Station Bahu Fort, DySP Vipan Chandran- SDPO City East and SP City South Vinay Kumar. |
