Jammu, July 30: Movement for Peace Equality and Justice has observed that for the last seventy years, the traditional political parties have been misleading the poor people of both the regions on the basis of religion or regionalism. Kuldeep Kumar Rao said that practically these people have done nothing to improve the quality in education sector or health sector which is the backbones of progress & prosperity of society. The infrastructure is very poor and quality of education is also poor. Free education with quality can be provided by government only but the government schools are very poor in respect of quality. The reason is that the schools are understaffed & in rural areas infrastructure is hopeless, Rao said. Rao further said that the main cause of the present situation in J&K state is due to the high-level political corruption which gave rise to the militancy, the drugs smuggling, the adulteration in food items, the fake medicines, price rise etc. The poor people of Kashmir know that many favourites of politicians were promoted from the post of Mali in forest department to that of DFO ignoring the talented & deserving Kashmiri youth by the previous governments, he alleged, adding that this was the only one example of corruption & there are dozens of them elsewhere (like JKCET scam) etc. |
