JAMMU, July 30: A five day state testing camp of KendriyaVidyalaya Sangathan Scouts and Guides for Rajya Puraskar culminated at K.V Nagrota. In the camp, 195 students from different KVS attended the camp and they went through rigorous test to earn their place for the Rashtrapati Award, in New Delhi. S. Sambanna Divisional Commissioner (BS&G) Deputy Commissioner KVS Regional office Jammu appreciated the students for presenting programmes on the occasion of camp fire and hoped that the students would show their ability in the skills learned during the camp. He urged the students to prepare for the future. Principal KV Nogrota Anuj Kumar informed that the students were made to undergo a rigorous training and testing , which included first- aid training, physical endurance and cultural presentation. Apart from other training programmes, the students were also taught moral values, including unity and diverse cultural heritage of the country, expressed the principal. DS Sharma (LT) ASOC Guide Captain and incharge of Scouts and Guides, said the training provided a great platform to students to showcase their skills and to excel in the activities of their choice. Students were made aware of internal endurance and how to become a great leader and citizen. The programme was co-ordinated by Naresh Sham (PRT) and MandeepKour PRT (Music). |
