| GDC Thanamandi celebrates international youth day | | | Thanamandi, Aug 13: Red Ribbon Club Govt. Degree College Thannamandi in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control Society celebrated International Youth Day.
Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina was Chief Guest in the event. On the occasion, a symposium was held on the topic "Role of Youth in Curbing Evils in the Society" in which students participated with great zeal and zest, and presented their views on the topic. Danish Bashir and Sadaf Qureshi shared the first position, while second and third position goes to Sehrish Shakoor and Iqra Sadeeqi respectively. The Panel of Judges included Dr. Arun Sharma (HOD Physics), Dr. Shokit Ali (HOD Urdu) and Prof. Fatima Bi (HOD Political Science). Earlier in connection with International Youth Day Celebrations a Quiz Competition was also organized in which five teams of the college participated. Team D was declared as winner whereas Team C was declared as Runner Up.
