Jammu, Aug 13: Independence Day celebrations took place at IDPS today with patriotic zeal and fervour. Students were all enthusiastic to participate in the Independence Day celebrations as the Cultural programme was prepared by the students with the efforts of the staff and the activity coordinators at IDPS. The theme for the Cultural Programme was - TIRANGA "Diverse Still One" which symbolizes that despite of the great diversity of culture, religion, community our society has a potential to stand as one. The occasion was graced by Manisha Choudhary, Chairman of International Delhi Public School Jammu, Preeti Sharma, DSP Excise and Taxation Officer Samba Jammu, Deepa Kotwal, wife of Pawan Kotwal, IAS Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education. They all blessed the school for the future endeavours as well as appreciated the staff and the students for putting up a great cultural vaganza. Manisha Choudhary further addressed the children and made sure that moral values along with the education must be inculcated for the holistic development of the children. Randeep Wazir, Academic Director IDPS, Suminder Singh, MD IDPS and Swaran Singh Choudhary, MD IDPS expressed their gratitude and appreciated the valuable presence of our esteemed guests to grace the celebrations of Independence Day for the first time at IDPS. |
