| DPS Nagbani organizes 'Essay Writing Competition' | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 13: Following the weeklong celebrations, Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu - (West) organized an Inter House Essay Writing Competition on the topic Freedom Movement.
Essay Writing is not just a method of academic assessment but also an act. This is an art of reporting and describing about a topic.
It not only requires story telling skills, but also the presentation of the story. Students from class VI onwards participated in it. The purpose of our competition was to give students the opportunity to engage in a social debate through writing and to prepare them from argumentative writing. It helped students to bit more confident writers. It was also helpful in enlightening the students about the outstanding contribution of different freedom fighters to free our country from the British rule. It's because of our freedom fighters that today we are enjoying our freedom in our mother land. The event was a great success. It successfully achieved its objective of engaging the students to stretch themselves intellectually with research and impressive expression.
Adhamya Tandon and Ajeet Singh of class IX stood First, Hussain Zari of class VI and Hadia Jabeen of class VII stood second, Ashiya Azmi of class IX and Rishav Chandan of class VIII stood Third, Nikhilesh Singh of class VII and Vanshika Sharma of class VI got consolation certificates. |
