Family, friends pay tributes to Sub Jagan Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 13: Several family members and friends joined to pay homage to Sub. Jagan Singh, elder brother of Prof. Bhim Singh on his fourth death anniversary in their native village, Chanunta in Tehsil Ramnagar yesterday. Hundreds of family members joined the fourth death anniversary of Sub. Jagan Singh. Those who joined this occasion included Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, both nephews of Sub. Jagan Singh, Samta Devi (Sister) Shamsher Singh, Anurudh Singh, Prikshit Singh, Chander Dev Singh, Kuldev Singh, Vishav Dev Singh, Meena Devi, Trube Dev Singh, Surjeet Singh Dimple, (Nice & Nephews) Capt. Vijay Singh, Kartar Singh (Retd. Tehsildar), Jagdev Singh, were among several distinguished members of the family spread in different areas and parts of Jammu province. Prof. Bhim Singh while offering tributes to his two years old elder brother, Sub. Jagan Singh, said that he had learnt a lot from his elder brother while accompanying him to Nagrota Primary School from 1948 to 1950. He said his brother was one year senior to him in the school and after passing his school he (his brother) joined the Army and served there with distinction. Sub. Jagan Singh had left three sons and three daughters and his wife behind when he passed away four years back. All his children have been married and settled. Prof. Bhim Singh had five brothers, three elder to him and two younger. He expressed with sad note that all his brothers have died leaving only their sweet memories and several lessons which he had learnt from all his brothers. |
