Awareness campaign on SSG 18 android app held | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 13: An awareness campaign was launched today in Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua for students regarding the Swachh Sarvekshan Grameen 2018 (SSG 18) android app launched by Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) which intends to undertake SSG 18 to provide national ranking of all districts of India on the basis of sanitation (Swachhata) parameters. This ranking will be based on a comprehensive set of parameters including district-level surveys of public places like schools, colleges, Anganwadis, PHCs, Haat bazaars. This App aims to engage with citizens and solicit their feedback for improving the programme. Data collected through this App will be kept confidential and stored in a secured server. Amir Manan Deva and Ubair Irshad Sofi Nodal officers SSG 18 for Kathua interacted with the large number of students and gave on spot demonstration for installing SSG 18 APP on their smart phones and explained them the benefits of taking this online survey. The whole programme was coordinated by Prof Rakesh Singh Nodal Officer Swacch Bharat Summer Internship programme. Prof Kartar Chand, Principal of College exhorted upon the students to take part in this survey in large numbers. |
