Jammu, Aug 18: A meeting of JKICS body was convened on Friday by S.S. Sodhi, Chairman, JKICS to mourn the tragic demise of India's most loved leader, Atal Bihari Vajpayee who died at the age of 93 after prolonged illness in New Delhi on Thursday. Referring to him as a great Stalwart and Statesman, S.S. Sodhi recalled the ace leader's political and personal persona. He said that India has lost a leader who whose poetic idealism, simplicity and respectful demeanour were unparalleled in political history of India and inspired many. He praised his determined efforts for improving India Pakistan relations and to bring peace in J& K state. Further, Sodhi also reminisced some inspiring incidents of his life from being a school teacher's son and Pol. Science Graduate to becoming India's true Bharat Rattan. Sodhi recited a doha by Kabirdas ji, "Aye hain so jayenge, raja ranka fakir, eka sinhasan chadi chale, ek bandhe zanzir." |
