| DSEJ releases Academic Calendar for 2018-19 | | |  Early times Report
Jammu, Aug 18: Director School Education Jammu Rakesh Kumar Srangal today chaired the meeting of all Chief Education Officers of Jammu Division in which he reviewed in detail the progress in implementation of flagship schemes of Govt. of India like SSA, SMAGRA, RMSA, Mid Day Meal, Sakshar Bharat Mission, different academic/ cultural activities and developmental works going on under different sectors in all the districts of Jammu Division.
While addressing, Srangal laid special emphasis and instructed the CEOs to sensitize their respective staff to desist from evil practices especially corporal punishment and sexual abuse and called upon them to show zero tolerance. He advised the CEOs to start special enrolment drives in their respective districts especially in winter zone in the first instance and start on spot enrolment drives in far flung areas in order to achieve the objective of Sakshar Bharat Mission in Jammu Division. He further advised the officers to take effective steps to decrease dropout rate besides promotion of sports activities in the schools and prepare the calendar of all such activities for whole year so that the students are prepared for the future challenges as well.
