Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 22: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP) Janipur Zone Unit today started plantation Drive at Ramleela Ground, Janipur Colony. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Additional Advocate General Sh. Ravinder Gupta and Parishad Speaker was ABVP Central Working Committee Member Sushri Varsha Jandial. Varsha said that ABVP is working for students welfare and fight for their rights since 1949 but working for the nature and environment is also our responsibility in the present time. Telling the importance and values of trees in our life, She said that Since the beginning, trees have furnished us with two of life's essentials, food and oxygen. As we evolved, they provided additional necessities such as shelter, medicine, and tools. Today, their value continues to increase and more benefits of trees are being discovered as their role expands to satisfy the needs created by our modern lifestyles. Among others present in the plantation drive were Jammu Mahanagar Secretary Piyush Khajuria, Janipur Zone Ex-President Akshay Sharma, Janipur Zone President Lakshay Singh, Secretary Priyanshu, Joint Secretaries Udhay and Mannat, and some students including Swai Singh, Kanav, Raghav, Shivam and Parbhanu. |
