| No salary to general, 3rd teachers for three months at Ram Nagar | | | Ashwani Sharma

UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: Teachers of the Ram Nagar zone in this district are harassed these days as they are without salaries from last two to three months. Even as the state government has already announced payment of August salary to its employees before Eid, no such thing has taken place for these teachers.
Sources said that it is due to the inefficiency of DDO Zone Ramnagar that they have been without salaries for three months. In July the teachers held a one day protest at CEO office Udhampur against the autocratic behaviour of DDO zone Ramnagar but it was of no use.
The teachers said that their Zonal Education office was working smoothly upto 31 March 2018. They said as soon as the new officer assumed the charge of DDO zone Ramnagar, they were deprived of their salaries. They appealed Director School Education Jammu to transfer the DDO powers of Zone Ram Nagar to some other officer or appoint new zonal officer as early as possible.
The teachers have threatened to launch an agitation against the irresponsible behaviour of DDO Zone Ram Nagar if the things do not improve. |
