| Inhabitants of Rahya, Suchaini stage protest against PHE deptt | | |  Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Aug 23: The inhabitants of villages Rahya, Suchaini and Rajinderpura which are located in the Kandi area of district Samba staged a protest against PHE department for its failure to ensure proper water supply.
The agitated villagers assembled at village Rahya at the main chowk. The people raised slogans against the district administration and PHE department.
While interacting with the media persons the protesting people said that for the past few days they are facing acute shortage of drinking water supply.
The people said that that for the last few days there is sudden increase in unscheduled power curtailment due to which the water supply is getting affected.
The people urged the Governor to pay attention towards their problem. Retired Headmaster Gandharb Singh, Balwant Singh and Honorary Captain Babu Ram among others participated in the demonstration. |
