| One booked, for sharing post of sacreligious act | | |

Rajouri, Aug 23: Rajouri police has arrested a local boy for sharing a sensitive post of a sacreligious act having potential to disturb peaceful atmosphere of the district.
Police identified the accused as Aijaz Ahmed son of Hussain Mohd resident of Agrati Rajouri. "As per preliminary inquiry, it has come to fore that the boy shared video of a sacreligious act that has taken place in some area of POK on his Facebook wall thereby hurting the sentiments of a particular community", said a police officer.
Taking strong note of this, Rajouri police booked the said person in a case under FIR 472/2018 under section153-A RPC of Police Station Rajouri and a police team under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajouri Govind Rattan arrested the accused. Rajouri police appealed all people to use social media platforms in a positive way and to refrain from any act which hurts the sentiments of any community. |
