| Terrorist killed in ongoing encounter in Kokernag | | | Agencies
A terrorist was killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kokernag area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Friday. A civilian was injured in clashes near the encounter site.
Reports said a joint team of Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the army cordoned off Gadol village of Vailoo SSP Anantnag Altaf Khan, according to news agency, said search operation was launched in the area following “specific inputs” about the presence of some terrorists.
"Contact has been established with the hiding terrorists at Gadol and the operation is going on,” he said.
