| Villagers lock school in protest against non-availability of teachers | | |  Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Aug 31: Protesting against non-availability of teachers, parents and students of Government Primary School, Mohalla Mangrala Ari, Zone Harni, locked the school.
Locals alleged that despite the strength of 25 students, there are only two teachers posted in the school and whereabouts of one of them are not knows to anyone as he never visited the school since his posting there. The other teacher also remains absent various times with the result that no class work is taken in the school.
They further added that it happened again today when students returned home soon after visiting the school where the only teacher was also in this school. Upset over non-serious attitude of the school teachers and the Education authorities, a number of villagers and parents of the students marched towards the school and locked the building. They demanded adequate staff for the school or its permanent closure. |
