Jammu, Aug 31: A Local Court today awarded 10 year rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 50,000 to Kapoor Raj, S/o Thodu Ram residents of Bhura Chak Phallain Mandal Tehsil and Dist Jammu who was facing trial in rape case.
3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Haq Nawaz Zargar while awarding sentence after hearing APP Surekha Bhat, observed that though all sexual assaults on female children are not reported and do not come to light yet there is an alarming and shocking increase of sexual offences committed on children. Therefore, such offenders who are menace to the civilized society should be mercilessly and inexorably punished in the severest terms." With these observations Court awarded 10 years RI and fine Rs 50000. |
