Rajouri police arrest two drug peddlers

rajouri, Aug 31: Rajouri police and team of SOG arrested two peddlers and recovered a consignment of Charas from their possession.
SOG teams and cops from Rajouri police station were deployed for security on Rajouri-Kalakot road under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, deputy SP (Ops) and inspector Tahir Khan, SHO.
The cops during checking spotted and intercepted a man moving back in suspicious circumstances near Khandli bridge .On frisking cops recovered 70 grams of Charas from his belongings (clothes).
In an another incident a police team deployed on Jammu-Poonch highway at Kallar chowk under the supervision of Govind Rattan, deputy SP, HQs intercepted a car bearing registration No.JK11B-3942.
Instead stopping the car, the driver attempted to flee after turning the car back but was over powered.
The man driving the car was identified as Ajit Bali s/o Kishori Lal Bali resident of ward No.7 , Sunderbani and police during frisking of the car recovered 350 grams of Charas.
Both have been booked at Rajouri police station under relevant sections of the law and police have started investigation.
