Jammu, Sept 1: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today organized a grand reception for newly nominated office bearers including Party General Secretary Faqir Chand Bhagat, Chief Coordinator Jammu Region Choudhary Abdul Hamid, Sr' Amrik Singh Reen & other office bearer at Gandhi Nagar party office. Large number of party leaders and workers participated in the function.
Addressing the gathering Faqir Chand Bhagat thanked the party leadership for reposing faith on him and other team-mates for extension of responsibilities to strengthen the party at gross root level in the region.
Stressing for the strengthening of the party and democratizing its mission before the masses of the state, Bhagat said that PDP could play a vital role in keeping the communal forces at bay who are hell-bent to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the otherwise tolerant state known for its values of inter-religious harmony and brotherhood adding that the time has come when every peace loving citizen of the state needs to come forward and strengthen the hands of the party that has been in the forefront speaking truth to power and representing the aspirations of the downtrodden sections of the society and of the perturbed people of the state, gasping for peace and tranquility since long. |
