| Encounter between security forces and terrorists in Shopian | | | SHOPIAN: An encounter is underway between security forces and terrorists in Laddi in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian. Security forces had earlier launched a cordon and search operation after they received inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The encounter comes a day after three militants were killed on Saturday in crossfiring with security forces in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. "Three terrorists were killed in an operation in Danna in Bandipora district of north Kashmir," Srinagar-based defence spokesman, Col Rajesh Kalia, said.
Weapons and other war-like stores were recovered from the operation site. |
