3 CRPF personnel, civilian injured in militant attack

SOPORE, Sep 4: Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a civilian were injured in a grenade blast in Sangrama area of Sopore in north Kashmir district on Tuesday.
A top police official said that the militants attacked a CRPF party at Sangrama chowk today morning.
In this attack, three CRPF personnel's and a civilian were injured, that were later on identified as Constable Radey Shyam, Cst Shakeel and Daram Das Tiwari.
While as a civilian namely Hilal Ahmed Khandey S/O Abdul Qayoom Khandey Resident of Sopore was also injured in the attack, the official said.
All the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for advanced treatment, sources told ET. They said that soon after the grenade attack, security forces conducted door to door searches in the area to nab the attackers.
An additional reinforcement was called in the area, to deal with the situation, said sources.
Meanwhile Lashkar-e-Taiba on Tuesday claimed responsibility of the grenade attack at Sangrahama, Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
The spokesperson of the LeT, Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi said that the cadres of the outfit carried out the grenade attack at Sangrahama in which five CRPF troopers suffered injuries, said sources.
