Kathua, Sept 4: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua selected three best individual or groups for awards under Swachh Bharat Summer Internship at District level and for free and fair selection a committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner
NYK Kathua, through National Youth Volunteers and Youth Clubs actively participated in Swachh Bharat Summer Internship campaign and undertaken various swachhta activities in Kathua District like door to door campaign, Nukad sabha, awareness campaign, rallies, cleanliness drives in village streets, schools, dispensaries, panchayat ghars, public places, removal of weeds, bhang, plantation, sharm daan etc.
On the basis of merit on swachhata activities, The selection committee has selected Youth Club Godu Falal, Block Mandli under leadership of Amar Singh has selected the best group and shall be given cash awards Rs. 30,000 at district level and qualified for state level.
Youth Club Khog, Block Dugain under the leadership of Vijay Kumar selected as 2nd place and shall be given Rs.20000 cash award.
Youth Club Bhoond, block Sheetal Nagar selected at 3rd position and shall be given Rs.10000 as cash award.
This award money shall be utilized by Youth club for community development and youth welfare activities. |
