YCET organises speech competition

Jammu, Sept 7: SWAT (Student Working for Advancement of Technology) club of Computer and I.T. engineering department of YCET organised an inter-departmental speech competition for the students of 5th semester on the eve of International Literacy day.
The competition was organised to strengthen students' ability in speaking skills. The students were made to express their views on the topic "Literacy Increases Value Decreases". A total of 7 students participated in the competition. The first and second position was bagged by Chamandeep Kour of 5th semester Computer engineering and Mehreen of 5th semester Mechanical engineering respectively.
The chief guest of the event was Dr. Arvind Dewangan (Director, YCET). The event was also attended by all faculty members of Computer and I.T engineering department. Er. Dinesh Gupta (H.O.D, Computer and I.T engineering department) presented the welcome address.
The judges of the event were Er. B.R Verma (Chief Coordinator, YCET) and Khushboo Singh (Training and Placement officer, YCET) .In the end the vote of thanks was presented by Er. Robin Kumar. The event was coordinated by Er. Anupreet (SWAT Club Coordinator).
