Srinagar team wins Night Kabbadi tournament

Srinagar, Sept 7: Srinagar Acme team has lifted the Night Kabbadi tournament title played at Balpora Wathora in Budgam district. The tournament had begun 4 months back and around two dozen teams from various districts of Kashmir valley had participated in same. The final match was played between Srinagar Acme and Balpora Hunters at Balpora Wathoora village of Budgam district.
Details available with Early Times reveal that during final match hundreds of villagers from Wathoora , Gopalpora , Zoolwa , Sheikhpora in Chadoora area of Budgam had come to watch the game that was played under the massive lights erected on trees and residential houses of Balpora village.
Tournament was organized by Bilal Ahmad Bagat in association with local youth. Around two dozen teams participated in the 4 month long tournament which started in May this year .
All the matches were played at Balpora village and everyday scores of villagers has been watching these matches. Balpora Hunters and Acme Srinagar had qualified for the final match. Acme Srinagar having very senior and professional players scored 50 points , while as Balpora Hunters scored 39 points. Mithu Singh from Srinagar team bagged best raider prize and Preet Singh from the same team bagged best defender prize.
