PLS organizes fortnightly literary meet

Jammu, Sept 9: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu organized its fortnightly literary meet today at Tagore Academy. S. Rajpaul Singh Mastana, a senior Punjabi poet and writer of Jammu presided over the meeting.
Dr. Monojit, President, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu welcomed all the participants in the meeting. Dr. Baljeet Raina, writer, theatre and film maker & General Secretary, PLS (J) conducted the meet. S. Davinder Singh Vishavnagrik read out an article on Journalism on Writing of Dr. Baljeet Rain's literary contributions in the field of J&K Punjabi literary activity. The other writers viz. Dr. Baljeet Singh, Davinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Dr. Vinod Nirmal, Rajpaul Singh Mastana, Jang S. Verman, Balwinder Singh Deep, Navjeet Singh, Manjeet Singh Kaamra, Resham Kaur Resham, Amar Singh Kuka, Dr. Monojit Singh presented their select poetry/ Ghazals in the second phase of literary meet. An interactive discussion was held after these sessions and deliberations were made on the presentation of the reading of the Punjabi article and poetry.
In his presidential address S. Rajpaul Singh Mastana appreciated all the writers and poets for presenting their best creations. He said that Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (J) has been contributing in the field of literature by organizing regular meetings, conducting conferences on literary issues, book release functions etc.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Dr. Monojit appreciated the participation of the poets and writers regularly in the meetings. He emphasized on the need of new faces to be added in the fortnightly meetings of the Sabha.
