| Jammu, Sept 9: Akhnoor police today claimed to have busted a gambling den and arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 5010 from their possession. Police sources said that today at about 1715 Hrs SDPO Akhnoor alongwith SHO Akhnoor raided in Sungal Morh area of Akhnoor and apprehended 04 persons namely Bhagwan Dass of Sungal, Ganesh Lal Sharma of Raje Chak, Harbans Lal of Gurha Jagir and Vishal Kumar of Raje Chak Akhnoor who were playing cards (Gambling). All the four gamblers have been apprehended and recovered stake money Rs 5010 and cards. Subsequently all the persons booked under section 13 Gambling Act and took cognizance under law and shall be produced before the court of law. The whole operation was led by Munish Kumar (SDPO Akhnoor) and Inspector Shivdev Singh, SHO Akhnoor under the guidance of Dushyant Sharma SP (Rural), Jammu. |
