Early Times Report Kishtwar, Sept 9: A day long workshop was held on implementation of Public Financial Management System- PFMS under SBM-G at District headquarter, Kishtwar, in which officials dealing with SBM-G participated. District Panchayat Officer, BDOs, AAOs, SO(Planning) and computer operators of Rural Development Department, District Kishtwar were trained to operate the software application. The participants were trained to monitor budget expenditure under centrally sponsored, central sector and State schemes, and transfer subsidies directly to the beneficiaries through their bank or Post office accounts. Mir Anayatullah, state head Prerak and master trainer PFMS for SBM-G provided practical training to the operators. Sunil Kumar Bhutyal (KAS), DPO Kishtwar said the workshop was aimed to timely transfer of benefit to the citizen, bringing efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and accountability in the Government system. "Through the DBT, Government intend to achieve electronic transfer of benefits, reduce delays in payments and most importantly, accurate targeting of beneficiaries, thereby curbing leakages and duplication," he added. After the conclusion of the workshop, the officials were sensitized about a fortnight long program "Swachta Hi Seva", commencing from 15th of September up to 2nd October, 2018. Mohd Iqbal Mir, Consultant (SBM-G) briefed the participants about the programmes include sanitation drive, awareness camps, seminars and interaction sessions, to sensitize people about the cleanliness campaign and to spread the message in their respective areas, to ensure a clean and pollution free Kishtwar. |
