| School children deprived free uniform despite allotment of funds | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Sept 9: School Children of Government Schools from Class 1st to middle standard have been deprived of free uniform despite allotment of funds by the Chief education officer in district Poonch, Source said here today.
They said that most of the schools have failed to provide the free school uniform to children reading in government schools from Class 1 to Middle standard which have provision of the benefit and funds have been made available to all Zonal education officers of all the eleven education zones of the district by the CEO 2 months ago went most of the children have been deprived of the same which clearly indicates that something was going wrong at the school level, they added
Some children while talking to Early Times said that another school has provided free uniform to their students but ours has not. It means school incharges who operate the accounts of the school smell a rat which may lead to seem sources further added
Parents of some wards have urged the authorities that a check is needed on the activists of in charge teachers of Govt schools who have failed to provide free uniform to children despite funds made available to them two months ago by the CEO
Meanwhile social activist Mushtaq Ahmed has also urged the district authorities to look into the matter and ask the concerned in charge teachers to issue free uniform to children who have failed to do so by now. |
