| Kidnapping case solved within four days, minor girl recovered | | | RAMBAN, Sept 9: Banhial police today claimed to have recovered a kidnapped minor girl from Pantha Chowk, Srinagar.
Police sources said that on September 5 last, a written complaint was lodged by one Liaqat Gujjar of Gupthal Dooligam to the effect that his daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one Freed Ahmed Gujjar of Hinjhall Banihal and has taken her to some unknown place. "On receipt of this application, a case under FIR No 147/2018 under sections 363/109 of RPC got registered and investigation was taken up", said spokesman, adding that during the course of investigation, various suspects were rounded up and on the basis of human and technical collaboration, a team from Banihal was dispatched to valley and the kidnapped girl got recovered from Kinmoh area of Pantha Chowk Srinagar.
The recovery was made by Inspector Aejaz Wani-SHO Banihal and Sub Inspector Sameer Ahmed, under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar, Addl SP Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma. |
