DGP J&K thanks government for enhancing ex-gratia relief

SRINAGAR, Sept 13 : The Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on behalf of all ranks of the Jammu and Kashmir Police have extended thanks to the Government for enhancing the ex-gratia relief in favour of the NoKs of the martyred Policemen and SPOs.
DGP has said that this decision of the State Government will not only go a long way to provide financial support to the families of the martyred police personnel but will also go help in providing better educational facilities to the children of the martyrs.
The Director General of Police has also thanked the Government for huge increase in the ex-gratia relief of the SPOs who are fighting shoulder to shoulder with the J&K Police personnel and have given supreme sacrifice in line of the duty for the nation.
As has been reported the Government yesterday enhanced ex-gratia relief admissible to the Noks of J&K Police personnel from Rs.48.00 lakh to Rs.70.00 lakh and NoKs of SPOs from Rs.14.5 lakh to Rs.30.00 lakh, besides education of two children in private schools in the State upto class 12th of such personnel of J&K Police and the expenses shall be borne by the State Education Department.
Pertinent to mention that PHQ has recommended many welfare schemes which are under the active consideration of the Government.
