As touch me not flower BJP is being disowned by Kashmir centric politicians
9/13/2018 10:38:07 PM

That the BJP has become touch me not flower to discourage any party for forging an alliance with the BJP for the formation of the Government in Jammu and Kashmir. Though the PDP, a major Kashmir centric party, had tried to form the Government in alliance with the BJP but the experiment proved costly for the PDP and that too when the BJP pulled out of the coalition Government. Hence the National Conference leadership is aware of the disastrous impact of the experiment that PDP conducted by joining hands with the BJP for the Government formation. Though the NC is not having a good number of MLAs in the House which will help it form the Government with the BJP but the BJP could have thought of seeking help from Sajjad Lone whose six supporters may allow the BJP to form the Government in alliance with the NC. But the Vice-president of the NC Omar Abdullah has made it clear that the NC is neither in a position nor it intends to form or support any government in the state in the present circumstances. Our leadership has time and again reiterated its stand as far as government formation in the state is concerned. It's because of such fraudulent mischief that we had asked for the dissolution of the Assembly at the very start when the BJP pulled out from the PDP-led government," the NC spokesman Ruhullah said.
The NC leadership has stated the party had repeatedly made it clear that the priority in the state right now needed to be an improvement in the situation. "The NC leadership has already made its intentions clear as far as participating in any democratic process is concerned. Until and unless the Government of India and the state clear their stand on Articles 35 A and 370, the NC will not participate in any forthcoming elections. By boycotting the Panchayat and ULB polls the PDP and the NC were trying to help the separatists who could exploit the situation to their wishes. These separatists want the political and security situation to remain in the boil in Jammu and Kashmir so that they could get a chance to rake up the Kashmir issue.
Why news about the Government formation gets circulated faster than Kashmir winds? It is so because right from the day the state was placed under the Governor's rule the state Assembly has been kept in animated suspension. This has fuelled stories about the formation of the Government. In fact the BJP led NDA Government had plans of formation of the Government and the BJP wanted to try to form the Government again and in the eyes of the BJP was the possible chances of breaking of the PDP and when the number of rebels in the PDP did not exceed five the BJP left the hope of forming the Government. This way the BJP leadership has discarded five PDP rebels as they could not be used for the BJP plan of forming the Government.
