Students of YCET visit Jindal Steels | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 18: Students of B.E. 7th Semester of the Department of Civil Engineering visited Jindal Steels (Sudarshan Casting Pvt. Ltd.), Bari-Brahmana, District : Samba. Rakesh Singh Dhadwal,General Manager and Himanshu Sharma, Manager of M/S Jindal Steels interacted with the students and described the functioning of each unit of the plant. The students were told that the total capacity of the plant is 60-70 tons per day. The plant is prepares cast iron molds; extraction of mild steel is also done in the plant. The waste coming out after casting of molds is utilized in manufacturing of cement, safe disposal and its proper utilization. The plant is environment friendly. Students were enriched with the live working of the plant. The total students visited the plant were 123. The aim of organizing such visit is to acquaint the students to the real world of work. The visit was organised by the Training and Placement Officer.The students were accompanied by Er. Indu Lidoo and Er. Khuswace Singh, faculty members of the Department of Civil Engineering and Khushbu Singh (TPO) & Tarun Dev Singh Jamwal (ATPO). |
