Drug Peddler held with intoxicants

udhampur, Sept 18: Chennani police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered intoxicants from his possession.
Police spokesman said that based on reliable information, police party of police party of police post Sudhmahadev led by SI Balram incharge police post Sudhmahadev under the supervision of Charanjeet Singh SDPO Chennani while on patrolling duty in Sudhmahadev town, when reached Devika Karan Morh found one suspicious person who was coming from opposite direction and on seeing the police party suddenly changed his direction and tried to run away.
"The said suspect was chased and nabbed by police party and during his personal search one white polythene envelope containing 140 nos. of Foridol (Tramadol HCL) intoxicant capsules were recovered from his possession and during questioning he fail to justify the reason for keeping such type of intoxicant capsule in his possession", said spokesman.
Spokesman further said that during questioning he disclosed his name as Mehmood Malik of Chappar Faggu,Tehsil Latti and he used to sell these intoxicant capsules among the youngsters of the town for his own monetary benefits.
In this connection a case under FIR no. 78/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chenani and further investigation of the case is going on.
