| RET teacher attached illegally! | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri: Sept 18: In brazen violation of norms, the Commissioner Secretary Education has attached an "influential" Rehbar-e-Taleem posted here in this border district to the winter capital of Jammu thereby affecting educational activities at the school here.
Officials said the "influential" teacher who was working at Government Middle school Nahoti in zone Lower Halthal here has been transferred 150 kilometers away to the office of Chief Education Officer Jammu.
Though the government has imposed blanket ban on transfer of any RET teacher, the controversial orders have been issued by Commissioner Secretary Education vide government order no 418 department of education 23-03-2018.
The locals said the educational activities at school have been badly affected by the illegal attachments even as they demanded probe into such irregularities in the Education Department.
When contacted a senior official in the Education Department confirmed that the orders have been issued. "The orders are unlawful, but Commissioner Sahib personally issued the same as the teacher in question is influential. So we' re unable to do justice," the official said on the condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile the Rajouri locals have appealed Governor SP Malik to personally look into the matter. |
