JAMMU, Sept 19: A day long awareness-cum-demonstration programme held at Middle Level Training Centre, Mission ICDS, Social Welfare Department Channi Himmat Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu. The event was conducted under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police, HG/Civil Defence & SDRF, J&K and supervision of Dy SP Anita Pawar, Dy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu.
In the awareness camp the Female Trainees (Supervisor of Social Welfare Department) were given the knowledge of Firs Aid, CPR, choking, emergency methods and fire fighting by the Civil Defence Instructors.
While speaking on the occasion, Anita Pawar, Dy SP, Dy Controller Civil Defence Jammu highlighted the role of Civil Defence and also share her views regarding the importance of first Aid, Do's and Don'ts during fire, earthquake and Disaster Management.
Sadhana Jamwal, Principal of the Institute highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the staff and instructors for organizing an important awareness/demonstration programme. 40 Female Trainees (Supervisor) from Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, Ramban and Rajouri as well as staff of the Institute attended the awareness programme. |
