Udhampur, Sept 19: On the eve of World Ozone Day, a symposium entitled "Ozone Layer, Preservation and its consequences" was organised by Science Club and Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with DST Udhampur on 18th September 2018. Principal Dr. Y. P Kundal, was the chief guest on this occasion and shares his views on importance of ozone layer and emphasised the need of its preservation. He also appreciated the science club to organize such event and awareness programme. In the event, students participated with great Zeal and Zest, and share their views on Depletion of Ozone layer and its effects. Pratiksha, Sakul and Kumar Saksham got Ist, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The consolation prizes goes to Riya Kalsotra, Swapn and Ankita. The panel of judges included Prof. Satish Kumar, Dr. Hari Singh and Prof. Ram Krishan. Prof. Anuradha H.O.D environmental Sciences and Ravinder Kumar compare the whole function. In the last Dr. Hari Singh presented the vote of thanks and appreciates the active participation of the students and staff. |
