| GIRLS BN NCC observes Shramdaan under Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 19: The 2nd J&K GIRLS BN NCC of GDC R.S. PURA observed Shramdaan on 19th Sept, 2018 as a part of Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign in the village Baga Marh which has been adopted by the Girls NCC wing of the college.
The activity was performed under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Prof. Kalpana Kesar and supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NCC Convener, Prof. Shaveta Chowdhary, NCC Incharge and other members of the committee.
The NCC cadets cleaned streets, drains and back alleys of the village Baga Marh with the active participation of local villagers. The cadets segregated the collected waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and further developed compost pit for proper disposal of biodegradable waste. During the cleanliness drive, the cadets also interacted with the villagers and created awareness regarding importance of hygiene & cleanliness in their day to day life.
They took pledge that in future also they will continue to undertake the cleanliness drive and create awareness among the ruler masses about Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign. |
