Jammu, Sept 21: Udhampur Police today claimed to have rescued 16 bovine animals at Jakhani, Udhampur. Police spokesman said that based on reliable information, police party of police station Udhampur comprising of SgCT. Mohd Iqbal, SPO Raj Kumar, SPO Jagdish Singh led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib- SHO Udhampur under the supervision of Zahid Saif Wani DySP Hqrs. Udhampur raised a naka at Jakhani, Udhampur. "Noticing the police party, driver of the vehicle parked his vehicle bearing registration no. JK02AP 8767 along the roadside and fled away from the spot by taking the advantage of heavy traffic on road", said spokesman adding that during the checking of said vehicle, 16 Bovine animals were found illegally loaded in this vehicle. All the bovine animals were rescued and the vehicle seized. In this connection, a case under FIR No. 489/2018 U/S 188 of RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation is going on. |
