| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 10 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Oct 16: Continuing its endeavour to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, District Police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba, foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 10 bovines.
Police spokesman said that a Police Party of Samba police station headed by Inspector Chanchal Singh-SHO Samba and under the close supervision of Deepak Digra-Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during surprise Naka checking at NHW Mansar Morh, Samba signalled to stop a truck bearing Registration number JK02AE-4925 which was coming from Kathua side.
"During checking of the vehicle, 10 Bovines were found loaded inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission", said spokesman adding that the vehicle was seized on spot and all the bovines were rescued. In this regard, a case under FIR No. 275/2018 under section 188 of RPC, 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at Samba police station. |
