SAMBA, Oct 19: The women of the village Supwal staged strong protest demonstration against the revenue department at Supwal in district Samba here today. The protest held under the leadership of Veero Devi a resident of village Supwal. According to the sources, today afternoon, a large number of woman of village Supwal sit on dharna in front of the gate of Radha Krishan Temple link road Supwal, they raised slogan and shouting against the said department. They alleged that one person of the said village constructed the gate near Radha Krishan Mandir Supwal, they demanding immediately dismantle the said gate. After receipt the information Naib Tehsildar and concerned Patwari along with Chowki officer Supwal Javed Kataria reached on the spot and tried to pacifies the protester. But they demanding immediately dismantle the said gate. After the assurance of revenue officer the woman lifted from dharna. |
