Militants attack security forces in South Kashmir, pregnant lady dies in crossfire | | | Saahil Suhail Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 19: Suspected militants Friday evening attacked security forces in South Kashmir's Pulwama district. During the brief exchange of fire, a pregnant lady suffered injuries and later succumbed to injuries. Reports said that militants fired UBGL grenade towards army's 44 RR camp in Shadimarg Camp in South Kashmir's Pulwama district and fired indiscriminately towards the forces' camp. "Army retaliated and a brief exchange of fire between militants and security forces took place," said the reports. In this incident one lady namely Firdousa D/o Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh received bullet wound and was immediately shifted to district hospital for treatment. As per the reports, she succumbed to her injuries while reaching district hospital Pulwama The forces have condoned off whole area and initiated an operation for nabbing the attackers. Earlier, there were reports that suspected militants hurled a grenade on a joint team of Police and CRPF's 183, Battalion at Kakpora in Pulwama. However, there were no immediate reports of any loss. |
