Jammu, Oct 19: NSS unit of Government Degree College RS Pura, in continuation to celebration of 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi visited "Khadi Mela" organised by Govt. PG college for Women, Gandhi Nagar in collaboration with Gandhi Seva Sadan. A total of 20 NSS volunteers of the college are participating in the Two days Khadi Mela. The Khadi Mela was inaugurated by Dr. Ved Ghai, a prominent scholar of National and International repute along with Principals of various colleges by lightning the traditional lamp. Mela consisted of various stalls, each stall showcasing products made from natural resources/Khadi like jackets, shirts, Khadi Soaps, Galecha etc. NSS volunteers actively participated in the mela and also purchased items displayed in the stalls. Dr. Ranjodh Singh also accompanied the NSS volunteers. |
