| Drug peddler arrested with poppy straw | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Oct 20: Bari Brahmana police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 01 kg poppy straw from his possession.
Police spokesman said that today a Police Party of Bari Brahmana police station during patrolling in the Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana area, intercepted one person who was moving under suspicious circumstances and recovered 1 Kg of Poppy Straw from his possession.
The accused person has been identified as Jagseer Singh alias Jassi of Barnal Punjab presently staying at Vijaypur and was arrested on spot along with contraband item.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 193/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act registered at Bari Brahmana police station and investigation taken up.
The said arrest was made by the Police Party headed by Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal-SHO Bari Brahmana under the close supervision of DySP Sunil Kesar-SDPO Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba. |
