Early Times Report Samba, Oct 20: Rising Star Gunners today organised a medical cum veterinary camp for the residents of Nilcha and adjoining villages of Samba district. The camp provided free consultation with Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist, General Physician, Gynecologist, Dentist and Veterinary Doctors for the event. A total of 413 villagers utilised the opportunity to avail the medical facilities provided by the Army. The villagers were also educated on aspects of family planning, child care, basic hygiene and sanitation by skilled nursing assistants from the Army. The villagers took keen interest in the veterinary camp and brought eighty one bovines, sheep and goats for consultation. Free medicines were provided for patients. The event was attended by Civil Administration Officials of Samba district, Service officers and Veterans. All the villagers expressed their deep gratitude and applauded the efforts of the Army for this long awaited & much needed medical assistance. The event was also attended by many Veterans of Nilcha and adjoining villages, who expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the benevolent gesture. |
