| 18 bovines rescued, truck seized | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Oct 30: A truck used in bovine smuggling was seized last night and eighteen bovines rescued from it in Kallar area of Rajouri.
A team of police headed by In-charge Police Post Chingus Chatyar, SI Sanjay Raina under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Ajaz Haider laid a naka for traffic checking at Kallar chowk on highway when a truck was intercepted and put to frisking and eighteen numbers of bovines were found loaded in it.
Truck JK02BP-7383 was seized on the spot and all the animals loaded in a cruel manner were rescued. Truck driver Gurdeep Singh son of Mahan Singh resident of Greater Kailash colony Jammu along with one Nazakat Hussain son of Mohd Akbar resident of Qazikund were arrested on the spot . A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation taken up Police Station Rajouri. A case in relevant sections has also been registered |
