Pri Secy H&ME takes review meeting of MRV campaign

Jammu, Nov 9: A divisional level review meeting regarding Measles- Rubella Vaccination Campaign, was held for Jammu Division, under the chairmanship of Atal Dulloo , IAS Principal Secretary to Government Health and Medical Education J&K today at Conference Hall, Gandhi Nagar Hospital, Jammu. The meeting was attended by Dr Samir Mattoo, Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Arun Sharma, Director Family welfare, J&K. Asstt Director Family welfare Jammu, State Immunization Officer, CMOs, Dy. CMOs, DIOs of all Districts of Jammu Division, BMOs of Rajouri and Doda District beside SMO WHO Jammu. During the deliberations, the Principal Secretary briefed that a total of 37,72,960 children will be covered in the State out of which 27,85,731 Children have been vaccinated till date, with 17,00,994 children covered in Kashmir Division and 10,84,737 children covered in Jammu Division. The Principal Secretary appreciated the work done as it was truly a massive effort done by Health, Education and ICDS departments. Principal Secretary also apprised that Kathua, Leh and Kargil Districts have already achieved 100 % targets, while Budgam, Samba and Kulgam are on the verge of achieving the targets. All the Districts were instructed to achieve the targets by end of this month and involve all religious leaders to subsume the communities which are not getting their children vaccinated by clarifying misinformation and Rumors regarding MR Campaign.
