Jammu, Nov 15: Aashiya Iqbal (XI-C), a budding orator of Delhi Public School, Jammu clinched the 1st Runner-Up Trophy in Inter-School Debate Competition 'Polemic' held at Carmel Convent School on 31st October, 2018. 12 enthusiastic pupils from six schools had participated in the competition and spoke in favour and against the motion on the topic: 'Can alternative energy effectively replace fossil fuels ?' Aashiya spoke for the motion while Wamic Wasim (XII-A) spoke against the motion and won admiration of the jury for their well presented and convincing arguments. Prof. R.D Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated both the students for their performance. |
